The Team

Hi, my name is Björn Crüger.

I take care of all design processes within our projects. This also includes all front-end development, which means that I basically build everything that you can see on our websites. Therefor I work with a lot of HTML5, CSS3 and a great deal of jQuery and JavaScript in general.

I'm not programmer though. I just studied "graphic design" in Hamburg/Germany and later got my Master of Arts in "Design for Advertising" from the University of Wolverhampton/UK. Hence my work is focussed on the design-side of the process. For technically more challenging tasks I mostly rely on Bastian.

Thus I can actually do a lot more for you than just the plain webdesign. If you need any kind of marketing material, no matter if online or offline, I'm probably the right person to speak to.

Hello, I'm Uwe Crüger.

As my surname and the obvious age difference might suggest, I'm Björn's father. Together we fouded Modularweb in 2010. While he focussed on the creative part of the company, I could bring my business knowledge and experience to the table, as I've managed different large companies for many years.

If I would give myself a job title, it would probably be CEO. In reality I do pratically everything behind the scenes of the company from accounting and finance to strategic, corporate and operative planning.

Furthermore I work as a consultant for our clients on different topics such as marketing, distribution and sales. I'm looking forward to hearing from you, too!

Howdy, my name is Bastian Karstaedt.

I'm the newest member of the team. I joined Modularweb as a partner in summer of 2012. I did work for the company as a freelancer though pretty much since the foundation of the company back in 2010.

As a Master of Science (Computer Science) I'm actually the only "real" programmer at Modularweb. My responsibility starts, were Björn's work ends. I develop all that stuff that the user doesn't see at all. This might just be a Content Management application, but could also be a large individual project with extensive quality insurance activities.

At this point I spend most of my working time with the development of our own large project "Regionalfussball", providing high-end websites for amateur- and semi-professional football clubs, which is based on Ruby on Rails.

1. The project basis

Individual consulting regarding website concept & technologies Every first meeting or contact in general with us is always free of charge. Before we actually bill anything, we'll discuss your project in detail and provide suggestions in terms of design and technology. 0 €

Individual concept, design and development of the website base layout The process of concept- and design evaluation is always done in close cooperation with you. We'll not start programming until your happy with our concepts and designs. 750 €

Setup on your domain and server incl. testing We make sure that your website works on the given setup. If you provide the domain and the hosting solution, that's fine. If not, we can also provide the hosting for you. 100 €

2. Project outline, page styles and contents

How many different page styles are required?Different page styles could be "Homepage", "Contact page" or "Product page". If your Website will show different products on single pages, generally there ist still just one page style required for this purpose.

How many single pages will your website overall have?Please estimate the amount of single pages on your website, no matter if those pages might look pretty much the same. It will help us to get an idea of how much content the website needs to hold.

Percentage of contents that you will provide:If neccessary we can also help you creating the contents of your new website. Together with our partners we can do pretty much anything from commercial texting to professional photography and video production.

Percentage of contents that you will enter on your own:If we add a CMS to your website, you can do most of the content setup on your own. This can save you a decent amount of money.

3. Technological website elements

Content Management System (Modularweb CMS / WordPress / TYPO3 / Joomla) With a Content Management System, you can easily edit most of the website's contents without any programming skills. You can do pretty much anything from changing texts to uploading images or media files. 0 €

Responsive Layout: Optimized for any device including mobile A Website layout is "responsive", when it includes different layouts optimized for different devices. For optimal usability, the website's elements should align differently depending on wether you are on a Smartphone on a high resolution desktop monitor. 0 €

Dynamic image galleries or slideshows An image is worth a thousand words. And the most impressive way of displaying images on a website is through a gallery or slideshow. 400 €

Contact page with email form A contact form is the fastest and safest way of getting in touch through a website. 200 €

Multimedia: videos or audio contents HTML5 comes with new possibilities of including video or audio contents into a website. 500 €

4. Discounts

Modularweb is referred to in your imprint If it's ok for you to mention Modularweb as the creators of your website in your imprint, you can actually save a bit. -100 €

Static small Modularweb logo on each page of your website If you're ready to include an unobtrusive Modularweb logo into your general website layout, we'll give you a 250€ discount. -250 €

Affiliate discount for recommending Modularweb You'll receive a discount, if you can refer at least 3 new clients to Modularweb within 6 month after completion of your Website. In case you fail, you'll only be billed for the discount amount backdated. So there is actually nothing to lose for you. -500 €
